Yesterday, the first sessions of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum 2024 began and will continue until January 19 in Davos, Switzerland.This year, the meeting is held under the slogan “Rebuilding Confidence,” and more than two hundred sessions are broadcast live through the Economic Forum’s channels, and members of the World Economic Forum are able to obtain new updates daily about those sessions. This year’s meeting also welcomes more than 100 governments and all Major international organizations and the Forum's 1,000 partner companies, as well as civil society leaders, leading experts, young change-makers, entrepreneurs and the media. The Forum provides the structure for developing research, alliances and frameworks that foster mission-driven collaboration throughout the year. This annual meeting will accelerate this cooperation and deepen the links between leaders and initiatives, so the question before the leaders in Davos 2024: Will next year be a period of “permanent crisis”? Or will 2024 be a time for resolution, resilience and recovery?
Who's coming?
More than 300 public figures are participating this year, including more than 60 heads of state and government. As there is strong representation from all major regions of the world.It is worth to mention that, Mr. President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) , arrived yesterday in Switzerland at the head of our country’s delegation to participate in the World Economic Forum in its 54th edition, which is held annually in Davos.

Also Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia; Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore; Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Sri Lanka, Srita Thavisin, Prime Minister of Thailand; Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Among the heads of participating international organizations are:
António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations; Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Ajay S. Banga, President of the World Bank Group, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization; Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO; Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization; Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme.
An estimated 1,600 business leaders will participate in the forum, including more than 800 of the world's top CEOs and heads of member states and partners of the World Economic Forum. There will also be more than 150 global innovators and technology pioneers.
More than 200 Global Forum members, young global leaders, and social entrepreneur communities will join to showcase local innovations and solutions. More than 150 experts and heads of leading universities, research institutions and research centers in the world are also participating in the annual meeting . More than 40 non-governmental organization are also participating.
The Global Shapers Aden hub Foundation, affiliated with the World Economic Forum, also participates in some related local activities simultaneously with Davos and thorough the World Economic Forum platform.
